ATC Swap - Identity - Received

Finally the ATCs are here. Mangosteenskin had to repost them to me, since I was not around when she sent them earlier and the mail was sent back to her. Thanks so much Mangosteenskin for resending!

I received ATCs by Emila, Cima and JiwaSintetik. Mangosteenskin included her hand-drawn key chain and I love it! It's so cute and I love the patterns. She included something else, which I love the most and it's a wearable item. I'll see if I can wear it and pose for a photo. :)

ATC Swap - Identity

I'm on a PINK roll! LOL!

I made a Mother's Day card for my mom yesterday and today I made 4 ATCs for a swap.

The theme, Identity was chosen by Mangosteenskin as she's the hostess for the swap. I was supposed to make 3, but I made an extra ATC for Mangosteenskin.

I made the ATCs using textured paper, rubber stamped images of daisy, butterfly and bee, brads and other embellishments.

At first, I wanted to make zentangle ATCs, but then everyone else make zentangles too, so it's not really my identity. Then, I chose to use the theme colours of my blog, which are dark pink and purple to represent myself.

The bee symbolises my name, Debbie aka Day-Bee. Debbie is the short form of Deborah, even though in my IC, it's just Debbie. =) It is of Hebrew origin, which means "bee".

The daisy and butterfly symbolise the girlish side of me. The glitter on some of the embellishments mean that I like some attention, sometimes. Notice that each ATC is different? That means that I like to different from others and it also means that I am fickle-minded. LOL!

I've never swapped ATCs before, so this is really exciting!

GimmeYourStuff Swap Received - Nika, Slovenia

I received 5 parcels yesterday, and this is one of them. Nika of Slovenia sent me these awesome stuff for our second swap. She sent me 2 tubes of lipgloss, some crafting/scrapbooking supplies, 2 handmade notebooks and 2 handmade bookmarks, some Slovenian candies (I love Frutabela!), Slovenian tea, a pair of cute knee-length socks and some Slovenian souvenirs. I absolutely love the porcelain doll that she sent me; the doll is wearing a typical traditional Slovenian costume. =) I love everything she sent and I hope she'll love what I sent too.

Swapbot - Private Swap - blu3

Another swap I received yesterday was from blu3. She sent me 3 rubber stamps (2 butterflies and 1 bee), 2 postcards, 4 different types of brads and tonnes of stickers! I've never had so many stickers in my entire life!! She totally made my day.

Swapbot - Private Swap - kittencore

I received this great swap from kittencore. I love the London postcards and fridge magnets. She sent me some scrapbooking supplies, a set of 4 Emily The Strange buttons, some hot chocolate (yummy!) and 2 bars of Reese's NutRageous. They're not sold in jumbo size here, those NutRageous chocs, it's a really nice surprise. =)

Swapbot - Private Swap - Carolina

I love these goodies from Brazil, sent by Carolina. It made me feel like I just came back from Brazil! =) I love the cute heart-shaped Brazil plushie. =) And the postcards are great for my collection. Love the fridge magnets too! She wrote me a letter and she has beautiful handwriting. Her mom wrote me a little note as well and her handwriting looks like an italicized font. Simply beautiful, I wish I have such handwriting.

Swapbot - Wishlist - chappycat

Chappycat is really generous. She sent me those Hollywood postcards and a beautiful floral morsbag. It's realy nice. It's my first morsbag, ever. =) I am going to use it for my post office trips soon.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me. I have swap parcels to send, I need to go and shop for groceries, toilettries and swaps as well. I wish my best friend is here, she's a great shopping companion. =) I will post photos of the things I buy soon. Keep tuning in!

Swapbot - Int Postcard Penpal - nerdgirlcreations

I received this cute postcard from nerdgirlcreations last week. I love the way Japanese girls dress up. I myself would never dress up as daring as them, like the one on this postcard here. I think she has her own style. It won't work here in Malaysia, though. Our climate is too warm for us to get all covered up like that! =)

Anyway, there's an explanation about the Japanese girl.

I think her style is cute, and she looks mature for 15-year-old. I love those cute bear's feet shoes.

Niku means meat. Nikuman is basically meat bun, something like char siew pau. Yummy. Now I'm craving for some nikuman!

Swapbot - Pink & Girly Swap - InceyWincey

I am not usually fond of pink, but these are pretty, aren't they?

InceyWincey sent me two filled matchboxes and you can see the contents in the next photo. She sent me button, magnets, ribbons, beads, flower and glitter embellishments and lots more!

She's a great swapper. We're planning to do a journal swap soon. =)

Swapbot - Int. Postcard Penpal - danido

I received this from danido for International Postcard Penpal swap on swapbot. She got me this postcard of Death Valley, California. It's spring now in USA and I bet it's really beautiful, with all the flowers blooming in every colour. I love the postcard very much.

I think postcards is one of the simplest and sweetest thing you could send someone. It's short and sweet; it doesn't take a long time to write and to read. And you can send postcards overseas for a flat rate of 50 sen per postcard. I think that's really cheap. It's definitely taken for granted. I think that's why there aren't much designs of Malaysian postcards. Not many Malaysians I know uses postcards, unless they're sending them overseas. Someone should hire me to design postcards for Malaysia. LOL

Weekend Project - Swap Cards

I swap a lot. I send packages every week. At first, I didn't mind writing on a piece of paper, like a small note. I decided to make these and they definitely make my swapping easier. I don't have to re-write my long address and my swap-bot name every time. I also get to choose the images I want on them. How cool is that?

I made these on Microsoft Works Word Processor. There are many templates that you can choose from, namely postcards, tags, cd cover sleeve and these swap cards uses Avery business card template. The template allows you to print 10 business cards per A4/letter sized paper. It's pretty easy because all you need to do is edit one card and the design applies to all 10. I had lots of fun making these. I need to buy a black ink cartridge, though. Mine has obviously run out, as you can see on the Powerpuff Girls image. You can also download templates online. =)

I am off to post office now. I need to claim some parcels. Can't wait to share what I receive this time! =)
