Crafty Heart at The Bloom Bazaar 6 - Night Market Edition

I've joined The Bloom Bazaar four times including TBB6 - Night Market Edition. This time, it started at 1 pm until 9 pm. We have food vendors too, and the home-cooked food were delicious! Thank you, Joanne!

I didn't bring too many supplies this time, but I did make 10 Valentine's Day and 10 Chinese New Year cards for sale. I also printed handouts for kids. I found this cool Year of The Snake colouring pages. I hope the kids enjoy colouring it. If you want to print it for your kids, you can download it here.

It rained all day during the bazaar, which was a bummer. I think that's why there were less crowd than usual. I did enjoy myself very much, though. Bloom Bazaar has always been fun for me, and hanging out with like-minded people makes me feel good about the handmade scene in Kuching. It's always growing, and more people are more aware of handmade industry, especially scrapbooking and cardmaking.

My view during the bazaar - many clothes and accessories vendors :)

It's always great to meet regular and new customers, and just talking with other crafters and vendors. I look forward to joining the next Bloom Bazaar. Enjoy the pics!

Crafty Heart at Hills Christmas Bazaar 2012

Right after the Bloom Bazaar 5, I joined The Hills Christmas Bazaar, also held at The Hills Shopping Mall in Kuching. It was a 10-day bazaar, and I joined in because it was held at the Lower Ground Floor, and I wanted to gain more experience selling offline. I also wanted to see how it's like, whether there's enough crowd, and so on.

My booth, same set up as TBB6

My new handmade signage! :)

For a few days, I shared my booth, which includes 2 tables with some crafters. During the weekdays, I shared my booth with a friend, who sold her preloved and new clothes. On Sundays, I shared my booth with a crafter friend, who makes hair accessories.

My handmade cards for sale! :)

My verdict is, I like The Hills Shopping Mall, but the crowd was just satisfactory. I was happy that more people went to see the supplies that I have for sale, and they asked a lot of questions regarding the products and also my business.

What I didn't like was, I didn't think The Hills management did any promotion or advertisement about the Christmas Bazaar, like they should. They should have had some sort of advertisement, like having a big banner printed and hung by the roadside near the main entrance, to attract more customers to come in and see what it's all about. They shouldn't depend on the vendors to attract customers on our own.

New printed wooden buttons for sale!

I also didn't like the registration process. I couldn't call the person in charge because somehow, I think his number was printed wrongly on the flyer. When I managed to talk to him on the phone, he couldn't answer some of my questions, like he was unsure, and he told me he had to "ask my manager". So why are you the person in charge, when you have to ask your manager everything?

Selling old stocks of stickers, super cheap!

I fell sick on the 7th day of the bazaar, and had to close my booth the next day. I guess, I wasn't used to the cold air-conditioning, and I was also tired, since I have to come home late every night and start early the next day. We had to open our booth from 10 am to 10 pm, which is quite a hassle, so sometimes, I opened my booth a little late, and closed a little early. I mean, since we're paying for the booth, we can do that, right?

In the future, unless The Hills Shopping Mall management agree to lower the booth rental to maybe RM35 per day, I don't think I will be joining their bazaars anymore. I managed to make some profit from the Hills Christmas Bazaar, but I'm not very happy with their management.

Meanwhile, hope you enjoyed the pics! :)

Crafty Heart at The Bloom Bazaar 5: Christmas Edition

We were at The Bloom Bazaar: Christmas Edition, which happened at The Hills Shopping Mall, Kuching, on 1st and 2nd December 2012. I had loads of fun with my crafter and supplier friends. I met new friends as well, and had so much fun shopping and browsing through the various items sold by the many vendors. I can't remember how many cupcakes I had during the 2-day bazaar, but yes, will join Bloom Bazaar again in a heartbeat! It's always a great experience for me.

Good news, I'll be joining The Bloom Bazaar 6: Night Market Edition on 24 January 2013! It will be held at Bangunan Koperasi Hijau at Stutong, Tabuan Jaya, and this time, it'll be from 1pm to 9pm! I plan to sell my craft supplies and handmade crafts, and also some Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day handmade cards. There'll be food too, so do come and join in the fun! See you there!

Enjoy the photos! More pics on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/craftyheartstore

The Bloom Bazaar 5 - Christmas Edition

The Bloom Bazaar 5 - Christmas Edition

I will be having a booth at The Bloom Bazaar 5 - Christmas Edition. Yay! It will be held at The Hills Shopping Mall in Kuching, Sarawak, on the 1st and 1nd December 2012.

It falls on the weekend, so I'm hoping more people will come and support the local market. Many online businesses will be there, including those doing handmade crafts, and cupcakes.

There'll be vendors selling preloved items, clothings, accessories, and more. It's also in a shopping mall, so there'll be air-conditioning. You'll be able to browse around and shop comfortably. Parking spaces are aplenty at The Hills Shopping Mall itself, or around the area.

I'll be selling my craft supplies there, as well as some party favour type thingies. They'll be edible, so think candy chocolatey goodness. I'm also expecting new stocks coming in real soon. Do come and support Crafty Heart at TBB5 yeah?

Hope to see you there!

Crafty Heart at the Green Heights Mall Garage Sale

Yup, I was at the Green Heights Mall Garage Sale on 21 October with my friend, Sheena from Sheena's Handmade House. I sold some craft supplies at discounted offline prices, and Sheena sold her pretty hair clips, hair bands and even hair scrunchies with crochet flowers.

Here are the pics that I've taken that day of our little setup. No pics of other vendors, though. Sheena and I will be joining The Bloom Bazaar 5 Christmas Edition on 1 and 2 December 2012, which will be held at The Hills Shopping Mall in Kuching. Kuchingites, please do come and be merry with us!

I love Christmas, and I'm hoping to sell more of my handmade creations during the bazaar. I'll be there from 10 am to 10 pm! Not sure how I'm going to pull that off, but I'll be there with Sheena, so we'll take care of each other and keep each other company. It's going to be so much fun!

Meanwhile, enjoy the pics!

Crafty Heart at the Green Heights Mall Raya Car Boot Sale 2012

Yesterday I participated at the Raya Car Boot Sale 2012 at Green Height Malls, Kuching. I joined my friend, Sheena and I sold my handmade cards there. The car boot sale was held at the mall's basement car park. It was hot and humid, and I was sweating so much! That's the only thing I didn't like about it. Other than that, I think Sheena and I had pretty good fun catching up and attending to our customers.

Our boot on that day

The crowd was a little different from the ones we had at previous bazaars. If you didn't know, Green Heights Mall is located at Jalan Lapangan Terbang, and just as its name suggests, it's a mall that practices green living lifestyle. I could see recycling bins for paper, plastic and glass for the mall's patrons to utilise and practise going green as well.

One of my handmade cards on display - still available!

After the car boot sale ended, we went around the mall and had late lunch. I quite like the atmosphere there, and I'd love to come back and explore the other shops there.

Love Sheena's new display rack

Enjoy the pics! Not much pics of my stuff, but Sheena has pretty cute stuff for sale. See ya!

Crafty Heart at The Bloom Bazaar 3

So I was at The Bloom Bazaar 3. The event was held at the same venue as TBB2, on 7 July 2012. As it was my third time selling offline, I was not nervous, but excited to set up my booth and start selling. I was also happy that I shared my booth with my friend, Sheena. No more being alone and bored, and I can walk around and talk to everyone while she looks after our booth, and vice versa.

Anyway, I had quite a number of items for sale that day. I sold some old stocks at super cheap prices, and I sold new and current stocks as well. I also took the chance to introduce my handmade cards, ribbon/thong bookmarks, and metal bookmarks. I was so happy that I managed to sell 4 of my handmade cards, and 1 ribbon bookmark. I've never sold any of my cards offline before, so I was overjoyed that people would buy them. That means my handiwork is not bad at all. :D

I didn't buy much that day. I bought a bottle of perfume for my brother, and a headband and mini notebook for myself. I also got a pretty floral ring from Sheena. Isn't it pretty?

Sheena texted me last night and invited me to the Green Heights Mall Car Boot Sale next month. I'm thinking about joining her, but only if I have enough handmade cards to sell. I'm planning to make some Hari Raya Aidilfitri cards too. Wish me luck! :)

The Bloom Bazaar 3

I just love bazaars. Selling offline is fun, and better when I get to hangout with my crafty friends. I love meeting my customers in person, and if you've been to any of the bazaars I've joined, you know that I always offer awesome discounts for offline purchases.

I'll be selling craft supplies at The Bloom Bazaar 3 this Saturday, 7 July 2012. It falls on my dad's birthday, so it's going to be a great day. I've joined The Bloom Bazaar 2 before, and it was a success. Hopefully we'll get more people to come this time. I think I'm more prepared this time around, and I'll be sharing my booth with my friend, Sheena, who sells pretty hair accessories.

If you're in Kuching, The Bloom Bazaar 3 will be held at the same place as TBB2, at Bangunan Koperasi Hijau, Stutong. It's right behind Nissan dealership at the Tabuan Jaya roundabout, before Giant Hypermarket.

It's going to be a whole lot of fun, filled with endless browsing of handmade goodies, fashionable clothings and accessories, and more. Come and join in the fun! Don't forget to like the organiser's FB page, Tree Little Words. See you this Saturday!

Crafty Heart at Kuching Car Boot Sale 2012

I joined my friend Sheena at the Kuching Car Boot Sale last Sunday. Initially, I wasn't planning on joining, but since Sheena and I are sharing a booth at the upcoming Bloom Bazaar 3, she invited me to join hers at the Car Boot Sale. It was a free event, so whatever we made, they're all ours. Whee!

Our car boot booth

I arrived at about 10am, and Sheena was already there and her booth was all set up. All I had to do was arrange my stuff and I was done. I had old stocks and no new stocks because I wanted to sell them off super cheap. I've had those old stocks kept in my storage for quite a while, so I thought, why not sell them cheap instead of keeping them and not using them at all? Might as well get them into good crafters' hands, right?

These are offline prices :D

Super cheap deals!

I'm so happy that I sold quite a number of alphabet stickers. They were at only RM4 each. Some bought rub-on transfers too at only RM5. These scrapbooking supplies are super expensive at craft stores, so if you came buy that day and bought them, thank you! You found real gems at really good deals!

These were faves that day :)

Sheena and I took some photos too. I love how she packaged her handmade hair clips and hair bands. So pretty!

Sheena's cute hair clips :)

Sheena helped her friend sell some non-alcohol perfume too

I love the idea of sharing a booth at bazaars. You'll always have someone to talk to, and Sheena's parents and sister was there, so we didn't have time to even feel bored or sleepy. Lol!

A lot of the other sellers were selling pre-loved clothes, magazines, books and toys. I saw a seller selling quilling crafts, but I didn't get to talk to her because she was busy with customers.

I still have some old stocks, which I'll be selling at The Bloom Bazaar 3 on 7 July 2012. It will be held at the same venue as The Bloom Bazaar 2, at Bangunan Koperasi Hijau, behind Nissan dealership near Tabuan Jaya roundabout. I'll be having some brand new stocks too, and they will be sold cheaper offline than online. Come and join us!

Enjoy the pics! :)

Crafty Heart at The Street Bazaar 2012

The Street Bazaar 2012 was held yesterday. I was experimenting with the bazaar, trying to sell my handmade crafts. I did sell some of my craft supplies like my new ribbons and flowers.

My booth - you can see my handmade cards :)

Popsicle bookmarks, handmade cards, ribbon bookmarks, and metal bookmarks

The crowd was encouraging, but I didn't manage to sell much of my handmade creations. Perhaps it was not my target crowd, plus parking was a nightmare. You'll never get a parking space during weekends near Waterfront Kuching. Sarawak Regatta was going on yesterday (and today) too, and it didn't help at all.

Ribbon and metal bookmarks, flowers, ribbons, mobile phone charms,
and mobile phone straps

I wish the bazaar was organised better, though. I loved The Bloom Bazaar 2 better than The Street Bazaar 2012, not because I made more money, but despite some people having problems looking for the place, crowd demographics were better at Bloom's. That's just my humble opinion, though. I didn't get to go around and visit the other booths, though. I was too bored to go around, and I was alone, so no one was there to tend to my booth.

My handmade ribbon bookmarks ♥

More ribbon bookmarks with charms ♥

Metal bookmarks ♥

The view just behind me

The Enchantress' Cauldron's booth was on my right

Other vendors on my left

I did bought some cupcakes from The Enchantress' Cauldron, though. They were divine! I wish I bought more. I love that the cupcakes are very light and do not fill me up much. I could eat more than three in one seating. Lol!

Super yumm The Enchantress' Cauldron cupcakes ♥

I hope I'll be able to share a booth next time, though. I could surely use the company, and split registration fees. Who's joining me? :P Hope you like the pics. No pics of yours truly, though. Happy Sunday!
