Crafty Heart at the Green Heights Mall Raya Car Boot Sale 2012

Yesterday I participated at the Raya Car Boot Sale 2012 at Green Height Malls, Kuching. I joined my friend, Sheena and I sold my handmade cards there. The car boot sale was held at the mall's basement car park. It was hot and humid, and I was sweating so much! That's the only thing I didn't like about it. Other than that, I think Sheena and I had pretty good fun catching up and attending to our customers.

Our boot on that day

The crowd was a little different from the ones we had at previous bazaars. If you didn't know, Green Heights Mall is located at Jalan Lapangan Terbang, and just as its name suggests, it's a mall that practices green living lifestyle. I could see recycling bins for paper, plastic and glass for the mall's patrons to utilise and practise going green as well.

One of my handmade cards on display - still available!

After the car boot sale ended, we went around the mall and had late lunch. I quite like the atmosphere there, and I'd love to come back and explore the other shops there.

Love Sheena's new display rack

Enjoy the pics! Not much pics of my stuff, but Sheena has pretty cute stuff for sale. See ya!

Happy 1st Birthday

Handmade Card - Happy 1st Birthday
Happy 1st Birthday

I made this card this morning. It was an easy card, made for my bestie's baby boy who'll be celebrating his 1st birthday on 10 August, that's this Friday. Happy birthday, Qaleed! Aunty Debb can't wait to see you this October! :)

Anyway, I made the card based on CPS Sketch #277, which you can see below.

I changed the circle element to the number 1 sticker. Added twines and punched paper balloons for some birthday fun, and we're done! Love the DCWV pattern paper, it's so colourful and glittery, yet appropriate for a boy's birthday too. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Cardstock - generic brand
Pattern paper - DCWV
Clear stamp - My Sentiments Exactly!
Ink - ColorBox

Handmade Card - Coffee and Friends
Coffee and Friends
I made this card today with this coloured image of a steaming coffee cup in mind. I coloured the stamped image last night, and chose the theme colours based on it. It's not my best work, I think, but I love the coffee cup. Or cocoa in a cup, if you don't drink coffee. ;)

I just made this card. I wanted to enter the CPS-Card Sketches challenge for this week, and I also wanted to use the Inkadinkado cupcake clear stamp. I love stamped images that look like sketches. I can't draw or colour well, but I think the pink cupcake looks decent.

What do you think? This card is also entered to Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Peace in Green

Handmade Christian Card - Peace in Green
Handmade Christian Card - Peace in Green

I made this card last night. It's been a long time since I last joined a card-making challenge, and I wanted to make something before my mojo flee completely. I've been making cards for the past few days, mostly Christmas cards and birthday cards, in preparation for a craft bazaar in November. I want to prepare early so that I won't rush like before, and end up making things that people won't buy.

Anyway, I wanted to make a Christian card using my Clear Dollar Stamp Scriptures of Peace clear stamp set. Love the sketch and it's very simple to follow. Hope you like it!

Crafty Heart at The Street Bazaar 2012

The Street Bazaar 2012 was held yesterday. I was experimenting with the bazaar, trying to sell my handmade crafts. I did sell some of my craft supplies like my new ribbons and flowers.

My booth - you can see my handmade cards :)

Popsicle bookmarks, handmade cards, ribbon bookmarks, and metal bookmarks

The crowd was encouraging, but I didn't manage to sell much of my handmade creations. Perhaps it was not my target crowd, plus parking was a nightmare. You'll never get a parking space during weekends near Waterfront Kuching. Sarawak Regatta was going on yesterday (and today) too, and it didn't help at all.

Ribbon and metal bookmarks, flowers, ribbons, mobile phone charms,
and mobile phone straps

I wish the bazaar was organised better, though. I loved The Bloom Bazaar 2 better than The Street Bazaar 2012, not because I made more money, but despite some people having problems looking for the place, crowd demographics were better at Bloom's. That's just my humble opinion, though. I didn't get to go around and visit the other booths, though. I was too bored to go around, and I was alone, so no one was there to tend to my booth.

My handmade ribbon bookmarks ♥

More ribbon bookmarks with charms ♥

Metal bookmarks ♥

The view just behind me

The Enchantress' Cauldron's booth was on my right

Other vendors on my left

I did bought some cupcakes from The Enchantress' Cauldron, though. They were divine! I wish I bought more. I love that the cupcakes are very light and do not fill me up much. I could eat more than three in one seating. Lol!

Super yumm The Enchantress' Cauldron cupcakes ♥

I hope I'll be able to share a booth next time, though. I could surely use the company, and split registration fees. Who's joining me? :P Hope you like the pics. No pics of yours truly, though. Happy Sunday!

Gothic Lolita Handmade Card

I made this red and black gothic lolita aka gosu rori (ゴスロリ) card a friend I recently made on Facebook. I have a free handmade card project going on, where I make and send one or two handmade cards for free. I'm glad my new friend, Sheena loves the card!

I used Kaiser's clear stamp for the musical note background on red card stock. Love, love the stamp! I also used my handmade hat pins for this card. :)

Supplies:

Masculine Birthday Card in Dark Blue

I made this card to be given away free of charge for my Free Handmade Cards Project on Facebook. However, the recipient wanted her card to be a love-themed, masculine birthday card, with lots of hearts on it. I made another card but at the moment, I don't know whether she likes the second card.

I love the Kaisercraft Script clear stamp. It's so easy to use, and it's priced reasonably too. I love my DCWV mat stack too. I'm definitely going to get more soon.

Cupcake Red Birthday Card

I made this card during the weekend for a friend's birthday. I didn't want to make a card that looks too kiddish, but I wanted to add some red on it, with a cute cupcake.

I used Sketch #216 by Card Positioning Systems and I was late when submitting my card. Oh bummer! Anyway, I love the sketch because it was very easy to work with. Thanks CPS!

I also wanted to use the handmade hat pins that I made a few weeks back. I will share a short tutorial on how to make the hat pins soon. Hope you like the card!

Pink Baby Card for Little Cutie

I made this card yesterday, when I got the news that my cousin's wife has delivered a baby girl. She's their second baby, and I'm so happy for them.

I need to stamp better, I know! I love the ribbon, though. That's a scrap leftover from what I used to sell on my store. The brad was a gift from Ida, and I had to draw and cut the white circle by hand.

Hope you like it!

Loving You Each Day of Spring

When I made this card, I had some Easter colours in mind. It's a lovey dovey card, which I seem to make more of, but I think it can still be sent as an Easter or spring card.

Anyway, I don't have a butterfly punch, so I stamped some butterflies on a pink card and trimmed the shapes to make the fluttery creatures as my card embellishments.

You might notice that I love flowers. I do! I love them on my cards, but I'm not good at making them myself. Hope you like the card! :)

Scriptures of Peace

I was so excited when I received my first Christian scripture clear stamps last week. I bought it from Clear Dollar Stamp.

I tried it on my first Christian card and the result is stunning. The clear stamp is of high quality and I love that the company doesn't spend much on packaging and that keeps the prices of the clear stamps low.

Hope this card is clean and simple enough for the challenge! God bless!

Two-fold Birthday Wishes

I made this card a few days ago. I didn't like how it turned out at first, but the little owl is growing on me! I made the pennant banner myself without using any stencils whatsoever.

Oh, the doggie clip is there to hold the card and keep it from opening. It's a two-fold card, and I haven't made any cards that are more than one fold for quite a while. I still need to be better at stamping, though. *grins*

Hope you'll like it!

Hello Spring Floral Card

I made this card last night. I wanted to stamp the flowers in white pigment ink on dark brown paper, but it ended up looking dull. I managed to save the card by stamping it in black and brown ink on cream paper. Looks much better, I must say!

I love the little stamped flowers. They look so intricate and sweet. Hope you like the card! Saying Hello to Spring!
