Sweet Love

Here's my second card for today! Oh well, it's a Sunday, and therefore, I had plenty of time to craft. I know Valentine's Day is not until next year, but I just can't resist making a lovey dovey card. I think this card can be a Mother's Day or a birthday card too.

I am so not good at tying bows, though. I will watch some YouTube videos on how to tie the perfect bow. I used a small wooden peg with a red heart to clip the bow to keep it in place. The wooden peg comes in a pack, received from a friend, Ida. Thanks Ida!

Hope you like the card!

Supplies:
Cardstock - generic brand
Pattern paper - Basic Grey (Green at Heart), Crate Paper (Snow Day)
ATC paper - Leisure Art (Contemporary)
Punch - EK Success edger punch (open scallop)
Ink - ColorBox
Jewels, wooden peg, ribbon - stash

For Mom - Hugs & Kisses

Here's a card that I made recently. I borrowed Yenny's heart-shaped rubber stamp for this. I finally can make cards with rounded corners, yay!

This card is for my mom, for not being able to call her on Mother's Day, since I was at Yenny's place and didn't bring my phone charger, and my phone died on me. I texted my mom and explained, though. I hope she'll like this small surprise. :)

Check out the cards I made for her in 2008 and 2009. Love you, mom! :)

Mother's Day Pop-Up Card In Green & Red*

I made this mini pop-up card last week, on the same day as the blue one. This one's a little Christmas-ey because it's green and red lol! It doesn't have to be a Mother's Day card, you can give it to your mom for Christmas. :) I am loving polka dot pattern right now, as you can see here.

I'm looking forward to making bigger pop-up cards by the end of this week. I just need to find my muse. Enjoy the pics! :)

Mother's Day Pop-Up Card In Blue*

I went craft-crazy after learning how to make a pop-up accordion card earlier this week. Here's another Mother's Day card that I made. This one is for those who like blue.

Blue is one of my favourite colours, so this one was easy for me. I used a vellum sticker to decorate its front.

For the letters M-O-M, I used my glitter pen in pastel blue to draw the dots along their borders. Don't forget to tie a blue ribbon as the finishing touch! I hope you like this one! :) Have a fun weekend.

Mother's Day Mini Pop-Up Accordion Card*

I am on a roll! I am feeling a little inspired lately, ever since I watched card-making videos on YouTube. I made a pop-up card today, especially for my mom. Mother's Day falls on 10th May this year, so why not prepare your gifts and cards early? I made a card last year for my mom and this year, I made another one for her.

I love this pop-up accordion card because it is tiny! It saves paper and it's definitely cute! The challenge you'll face when making small cards is to have patience when measuring and cutting your card stock, as there's very little margin for error.

This card is 100% handmade, except for the flowers and brad, of course. Lol! The letters M-O-M for Mom are cut by hand. However, it would help if you have die-cut machines; you'll be able to cut your alphabets perfectly. I tied a ribbon around it as a finishing touch. The ribbon also helps to hold it so that it won't pop-up. I hope you like it.

Basic material: White card stock, coloured card stock,
Embellishments: Silk flowers (Daisy D's Flowers - Bring Me Cheer
),
crystal brad (Making Memories - Crystal Lights Mini Circle Brads
), grosgrain ribbon

Happy Mother's Day!

It's really ironic how I often make crafts using pink as the main colour, even though it's my least favourite colour. =) Maybe I secretly like it and just won't admit it. Am not telling, though. LOL!

Anyway, made this card today for my mom for Mother's Day. I made it using textured paper, ribbon and some brads. It took me about an hour to make it while watching a Korean series online (yes, I am addicted!). *grins*

It's a simple project; I'm sure you can make something prettier than this. Crafters - what are you making for your mom this year? Would love to see your creations.

Feel free to leave me a message with a link to your post. =)
