Black & Red Wedding Congratulatory Card

It's been a while since I last updated my blog with my handmade cards. Been making some cards lately but I don't have the time to take photos of them.

However, C is going for a wedding tomorrow, and he requested for a wedding congratulatory card. I made this black and red themed wedding congratulatory card a few minutes ago.

It's a simple, classic card and I am in a lovey dovey mood, so making it was so easy. I hope you like it as much as I do! :)

Red Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I made to go along with the birthday photo frame for Mami's son. The birthday card looks a little yellowish in the the first image, but it looks better in the second pic.

I'm going to splurge on on some pigment ink pads, but that will have to wait until I come back from KK! :)

Happy Ka'amatan and Happy Gawai to everyone celebrating Harvest Festival. Have a great week!

Birthday Altered Photo Frame in Red

I made this altered photo frame for C's colleague, Mami, for her son's 13th birthday. She requested for something in red that suits a boy, so this is what I came up with.

I didn't think it looks great, but Mami loves it! Yay! :) I really need to get more men or boys-themed craft supplies soon. I feel that it's easier to make crafts for girls than boys, but I'm working on it.

Thank you Mami for your request. I hope your son will love it. ;)

WIP - Casino Party Invitation Cards

A friend of mine asked me to make 50 new year's party invites for her 2010 new year's bash. And guess what her theme is? Casino night!

Sound like so much fun, right? Well, designing the perfect card is such a headache, especially if it's last minute. I wish she'd tell me last month when I was not as busy.

Anyway, she's pretty easy to please, as she's one of my closest friends and we understand each other pretty well. I'm going to have to improvise for this and find casino-themed materials. Perhaps I can find some casino-themed wrapping papers that can be used as pattern paper for the invites. I was also thinking of buying a deck of cards to be used as the embellishments on the invites. Brilliant! (I actually thought of that as I was writing this post! Yay!)

I'm going to get back to designing the invites. Naturally, I'm invited to the party, of course, but I won't be able to go since I won't be in KL. What a bummer! I heard she's planning to rent a slot machine or something, just like those online slot games. Now THAT would be so much fun!

Gold & Red Wedding Congratulatory Card

I made this congratulatory wedding card as requested by my friend, along with the one with the tuxedo and bridal dress card. The theme colours are red and gold, so I tried to use both colours on this card.

It was my first time making a card in gold, but I quite like the result. :) Happy weekend, everyone!

Bridal Gown & Tuxedo Wedding Congratulatory Card

I recently made this wedding congratulatory card for a friend. She wanted it to be in white, with a bridal gown on it.

Based on examples I saw online, I managed to draw and cut the tuxedo and assemble the pieces together. If you look closely, the tuxedo has lapels and bow-tie, which I had cut from smaller pieces of black paper.

The bridal gown was based on the paper dresses I used in making my altered mini notebooks, so it was very easy.

The card base is pearly white. It is a very shimmery paper that I bought at Popular. I used silver stickers and black sentiment rub-ons for the front and inlay of the card. I also used the same silver swirl stickers on the envelope, in light golden, shimmery paper.

As per request of my friend, I also printed a love Bible verse on the card inlay.

I hope you like the card as much as I do!

Congrats to the first commenter! :)
