Beautiful Batik

Hello everyone! Again, I apologise for my lack of updates. I haven't been feeling crafty lately, but I think I'm getting the mojo back after my day out to Central Market yesterday. As you all know, I started a Project 365 photo blog, so the main reason why I went to Central Market yesterday was to take some photos. I managed to take a number of photos yesterday (I wouldn't say that 100 photos is a lot!) and I had so much fun!

I saw a lot of new things yesterday at Central Market. There are so many interesting handicrafts being sold there, you'll be spoiled for choice. There are a lot of boutiques selling fabrics such as batik and songket. I also saw a mannequin wearing a beautiful kebaya. I took a photo of her lol!

Anyway, if you're interested in purchasing batik or just curious about it, here's a website that specialises in selling exclusive, handcrafted batik called KrafOnline. Batik can be worn for casual and formal events. I'm sure you can find something that you like at the website. Just click on the image below! Have fun!

  23. Iyaaaa.. my mom's side ramaaaiiiiii family. My late grandma had 8 brothers
and sisters.. and one of my grand uncles tu, have like 9 kids.. so multiply
his kids with their kids.. and that's only one branch. LOL! But yeah.. my
mom sedih lah they just take it.. my grandma tu last time, was considered
quite weak and skinny.. so her parents didn't let her kerja di kebun.
Instead, they sent her to school. Her and her eldest brother. She was a
warden at juvenile school as well as an English teacher. During the war she
was in red cross. Very proper and prim lah my late grandma. Very Martha
stewart also! LOL! so all her baju2 tu is very well taken care of and memang
really expensive. We only got her church kebayas. It's her Sunday best but I
still wished we got the nice ones!

we were soo scared of her debbs! garang oh my late grandma.. she was one of
those grandmas that don't like huggy wuggy and smother you with kisses and
give you candy all the time. Instead, she'll give you reader's digest
special edition books or alarm clocks for your birthday and just talked very
philosophical when you're sad. Very wise and I miss her sooo much.
