Zentangle Bookmarks 2 & Spring Shrine

I made these zentangle bookmarks for a swap I am currently in. As you can see, I was experimenting with new patterns or styles, whatever you call them with the one on the far left.

I don't really enjoy drawing; I'm more of a scissors and paper kind of person but this is fun. I did notice that it depended on my mood for the day. There's no way I'm going to draw something nice when I'm angry or sad. I'm sure most of you would agree with me on that.

I received some nice paper punch-outs in a swap recently. Alifromourpatch sent me lots of them in shapes of teddy bear, daisies (2 sizes), baby feet, butterfly, star, balloon, car, and boy and girl. I have started using the daisies to decorate a matchbox I made for a swapper. I haven't sent it out yet so I can't mention her name here. =) It's a spring shrine, to mark the beginning of spring in USA.

My first matchbox shrine - Spring

It's a little too pink for my liking but I think the swapper will like it. She seems like the type who loves pink. I hope to make more of these soon! =) Again, it depends on my mood for the day. The photo is a little blur, though. Sorry about that. Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. I think your swapper will love your spring shrine. I am not into pink (actually it's one of my least favourite colours), but I love the shrine, especially all the butterflies.
The bookmarks are also neat, especially the one on the right. :D

  2. Thanks, Nika. =) I am going to make another shrine similar to this but in a different colour. I love that bookmark too. It's the easiest pattern to make. =)
