Crafty Heart at the Green Heights Mall Raya Car Boot Sale 2012

Yesterday I participated at the Raya Car Boot Sale 2012 at Green Height Malls, Kuching. I joined my friend, Sheena and I sold my handmade cards there. The car boot sale was held at the mall's basement car park. It was hot and humid, and I was sweating so much! That's the only thing I didn't like about it. Other than that, I think Sheena and I had pretty good fun catching up and attending to our customers.

The crowd was a little different from the ones we had at previous bazaars. If you didn't know, Green Heights Mall is located at Jalan Lapangan Terbang, and just as its name suggests, it's a mall that practices green living lifestyle. I could see recycling bins for paper, plastic and glass for the mall's patrons to utilise and practise going green as well.

One of my handmade cards on display - still available!

After the car boot sale ended, we went around the mall and had late lunch. I quite like the atmosphere there, and I'd love to come back and explore the other shops there.

Love Sheena's new display rack

Enjoy the pics! Not much pics of my stuff, but Sheena has pretty cute stuff for sale. See ya!

Crafty Heart at The Bloom Bazaar 2

Remember I mentioned how nervous I was to sell offline for the first time at The Bloom Bazaar? Well, I had fun, lots of fun at the bazaar. I made some new friends, and finally met some of my most loyal customers from Kuching too.

Me at my booth

I managed to make a good sum of money for a half-day bazaar. There were 22 vendors, although a few did not turn up, for some reasons. My new friends, Sheena and Monita were also vendors. Sheena sells bronze charms, handmade headbands, handphone charms, and hair clips, while Monita sells handmade cards and journals. I had so much fun talking to Sheena and Monita the whole day.

Sheena and I

I love my fuchsia table cloth! I love that I got its measurements right, even though I didn't know how big the table was until that day itself. I do think that I need a better signboard that spells Crafty Heart clearly. The pennant flag banner is a gift from my friend, Ida, by the way. Isn't it pretty?

and tags, as well as my handmade card and popsicle bookmarks on display

I also purchased some items that day. I didn't manage to browse through all the stalls, though. Sheena made me a red and black headband, which fits my large head perfectly. Thanks Sheena's Handmade House! Jojo had fun shopping for bracelets too, and I got a funky ring from Teebags and Teeshoes. I also bought a purse from Ochibi Cutties Cloths, and a bangle from Beb Fashion Raccolta.

Our purchases

Jojo and our cousin Nana and her friend were there too, giving me moral support. Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to joining the next Bloom Bazaar, which is planned for April 2012. Meanwhile, I hope I'll get a spot for another bazaar in January 2012. Wish me luck!

Preorder Batch #19, Custom Orders, and The Bloom Bazaar

I'm so happy that I managed to find some time to craft lately. I recently made 10 wood stick bookmarks, a birthday card, and a pair of hair clips, specially ordered by my aunt. She has received them yesterday, and she's very pleased with them.

A few of the wood stick bookmarks I made for my aunt

I've also made some bookmarks, hair clips, and altered some wooden pegs to be sold at The Bloom Bazaar, which I'll be joining for the first time. It will be my first time selling offline, and I'm both excited and nervous about it. I know I will meet other crafters too, and I'm hoping to build a bigger clientele with my participation in the bazaar. Wish me luck!

Preorder Batch 19 has arrived last week, and it was a small shipment, consisting of 4 clear stamps. I'll have a bigger shipment for Batch 20, since it will be Crafty Heart's last preorder batch of the year. I will be putting some orders for myself too.

Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn clear stamps

Inkadinkado clear stamps

I'm off to get some sleep now, and hopefully I will wake up to more cardmaking ideas for the bazaar. I also need to complete a custom project for a wedding gift and card, and a pen holder for my cousin. Busy weeks ahead! Happy Sunday! :)

p/s. I hope you like my blog's new look. What do you think?

My New Craft Machines

I've been spending my time watching Korean dramas online, and now I'm watching The Vampire Diaries season 2. I haven't been crafting at all because I left all my supplies back in Kuching. Since I'm going back home again soon, I guess it's best that I didn't bring my heavy craft supplies back and forth. If I could travel light, I would.

I miss making cards! I bought more supplies and tools when I was in Kuching for more than 6 months. I have border punches and new paper pads to work with, but I will have to wait until I go back to Kuching to visit my brother.

My black and pink Big Shot

My Big Shot die cut machine is with my bff, Yenny, and I haven't decided when or where she should send it to. We've also started our own Zutter Bind-it-All "kutu". A "kutu" is a way to collect money every month, and we will be receiving our Zutter according to turns. I will be getting my Zutter next month, which is about a week from now. Yay!

Recent project: Wedding Guest Book

My newest tool! :)

Can't wait to start creating keepsakes with the Zutter binding machine! Now all I need are those O-Wires. :) When I receive the machine, I can make notebooks and even more wedding guest books like the one in the pic. It was a custom order.

Happy weekend and happy crafting! :)
