I made this card this morning. It was an easy card, made for my bestie's baby boy who'll be celebrating his 1st birthday on 10 August, that's this Friday. Happy birthday, Qaleed! Aunty Debb can't wait to see you this October! :)

Anyway, I made the card based on CPS Sketch #277, which you can see below.

I changed the circle element to the number 1 sticker. Added twines and punched paper balloons for some birthday fun, and we're done! Love the DCWV pattern paper, it's so colourful and glittery, yet appropriate for a boy's birthday too. Hope you like it!

I just made this card. I wanted to enter the CPS-Card Sketches challenge for this week, and I also wanted to use the Inkadinkado cupcake clear stamp. I love stamped images that look like sketches. I can't draw or colour well, but I think the pink cupcake looks decent.

Masculine Birthday Card in Dark Blue

I made this card to be given away free of charge for my Free Handmade Cards Project on Facebook. However, the recipient wanted her card to be a love-themed, masculine birthday card, with lots of hearts on it. I made another card but at the moment, I don't know whether she likes the second card.

I love the Kaisercraft Script clear stamp. It's so easy to use, and it's priced reasonably too. I love my DCWV mat stack too. I'm definitely going to get more soon.

Cupcake Red Birthday Card

I made this card during the weekend for a friend's birthday. I didn't want to make a card that looks too kiddish, but I wanted to add some red on it, with a cute cupcake.

I used Sketch #216 by Card Positioning Systems and I was late when submitting my card. Oh bummer! Anyway, I love the sketch because it was very easy to work with. Thanks CPS!

I also wanted to use the handmade hat pins that I made a few weeks back. I will share a short tutorial on how to make the hat pins soon. Hope you like the card!

Two-fold Birthday Wishes

I made this card a few days ago. I didn't like how it turned out at first, but the little owl is growing on me! I made the pennant banner myself without using any stencils whatsoever. 

Oh, the doggie clip is there to hold the card and keep it from opening. It's a two-fold card, and I haven't made any cards that are more than one fold for quite a while. I still need to be better at stamping, though. *grins*

Sweet Love

Here's my second card for today! Oh well, it's a Sunday, and therefore, I had plenty of time to craft. I know Valentine's Day is not until next year, but I just can't resist making a lovey dovey card. I think this card can be a Mother's Day or a birthday card too.

I am so not good at tying bows, though. I will watch some YouTube videos on how to tie the perfect bow. I used a small wooden peg with a red heart to clip the bow to keep it in place. The wooden peg comes in a pack, received from a friend, Ida. Thanks Ida!

Wishing You the Best Birthday

I made this card today after trying so hard to follow Sketch #68 of Skipping Stones Design. I haven't got my Big Shot yet, and therefore, I'm unable to make a smaller top note shape. However, I managed to cut a white cardstock into a pentagon and used my EK Success open scallop border punch to make it look like a die-cut shape.

I love the designer paper used on this card. It's from Crate Paper Snow Day Collection. It's supposed to be for Christmas, but I think it looks good enough for a celebration card. It reminds me of colourful jelly beans. Hope you like the card!

Happy Bird-Day in Green

I made this card a few minutes ago with the intention to enter it to two challenges. I love green, and I find it easy to make cards using the colour. However, I am not good in colouring anything, so as you can see on the birdy stamped image, it doesn't look good.

Girly Birthday Card

I made a girly birthday card recently for a very special person. I've mailed it along with a gift, but I'm not sure if she has received the parcel yet. I hope she'll like it!

I really enjoyed playing around with my new border punch while making this card. I bought the EK Success dotted scallop edger punch, and I'm loving the effect. I think I'm going to buy more border punches soon!

Orange Birthday Cards

I made a couple of cards in orange 2 weeks ago. I asked on Twitter for suggestions, and my blogger friends, Shemah and Bella suggested the colour orange as my base card.

I made these birthday cards because I didn't want to make Halloween cards. We don't really observe Halloween in Malaysia anyway. So what do you think, Shemah, Bella? ;)

Pink Tutu Dress Birthday Card

I made this card a few days ago. I've always had problems working with pink, simply because I don't like or enjoy working with the colour much.

However, I wanted to experiment with making a ballet-inspired dress as a card topper, so I came up with the ribbon tutu dress. I hope it does look like a tutu. I stamped the upper part of the dress using pink ink and cropped it into shape.

There's a sweet little person who's the inspiration behind this card. I hope she'll like it! Thoughts?

Nothing is Worth More Than This Day

Here's a card I made for C's sister, who's going to celebrate her birthday this Sunday, 10 October. I wanted to make something simple for her, but sweet nonetheless.

She loves phrases and quotes, so I used the sentiment from Autumn Leaves Stampology clear stamp series, AL3445 Natural Greetings and the heart clear stamp from Basic Grey Heartthrob, sta-2226. The pattern paper is from Basic Grey Kioshi paper pad, kio-2353. I used pigment inks from Colorbox, black (Night Sky), ruby and orchid (Tulip Field).

I coloured the leaves on the sentiment using colour pencils. I'm not good at shading or colouring in general, but I'm getting there.

Surfer Dudes Birthday Card

I made this card for my brother, Jojo recently. As per usual, it's tougher to make cards for guys than it is for girls, although Jojo won't mind pastels and flowers on his card.

I didn't want it to look girlish, so I used a pattern paper with surfers on them, taken from my Basic Grey Obscure 6x6 paper pad. Then, I stamped the sentiment Happy Birthday (Basic Grey Delta Series sta-2323) on a thick, white paper and trimmed it, before sticking it onto the tan grosgrain ribbon. The yellow and blue buttons complements the pattern paper.

Jojo's Handmade Birthday Card with Stamped & Coloured Image

Here's another card that incorporates a stamped and coloured image on it. My brother, Jojo designed the whole thing and asked me to stamp the birthday image and colour it as well.

I used colour pencils on the image and I must say, I enjoyed it very much. It was fun and relaxing at the same time.

This birthday card will be available for sale on my soon-to-be-launched craft blogshop, along with this card.

I'm hoping to do more stamping and colouring soon. Have a creative week! :)

Stamped & Coloured Image on Birthday Card

I recently tried colouring stamped images to be used on my handmade cards, and I must say I love the result.

I'm not the most talented artist, but I think I did a fairly good job, colouring the stamped image on this birthday card. It's also a different style of card. It's folded vertically but it's landscape, which is different compared to my usual prefered style.

Purrty Birthday Card for Shemah

I made this card recently for my buddy, Shemah. She celebrated her birthday on 19 May. :) She has received this birthday card with her gifts, so I can share the card here.

I really enjoyed making this card using the Glitz Distressed Couture dress form clear stamp that I bought last month. The paper is from the Nikki Sivils - Ellie's Day Out 6x6 Paper Pad collection, which is available at my store.

Red Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I made to go along with the birthday photo frame for Mami's son. The birthday card looks a little yellowish in the the first image, but it looks better in the second pic.

I'm going to splurge on on some pigment ink pads, but that will have to wait until I come back from KK! :)

Birthday Altered Photo Frame in Red

I made this altered photo frame for C's colleague, Mami, for her son's 13th birthday. She requested for something in red that suits a boy, so this is what I came up with.

I didn't think it looks great, but Mami loves it! Yay! :) I really need to get more men or boys-themed craft supplies soon. I feel that it's easier to make crafts for girls than boys, but I'm working on it.
